This book is offered as an autobiographical story of one of the author’s secondary school classmates, Albert Ferrer, who in the 1930s, just before dying, left his papers to him so that he could deal with them. Behind this narration, we find one of Josep Pla’s most personal texts. His Girona years, at the height of his adolescence, deeply marked him, and the book reveals this masterfully.
